1. Barbecue information. A 10" x 12" disposable BBQ will cook 6 sausages, 3 chops, 3
giant burgers, 3 pre-cooked potatoes and still have oomph left to do any amount of waffles!
The folding windbreak stowed under Nimue's aft starboard floor has been removed.
2. Before starting the engine, make sure that the weed trap is full of water.
3. Never change the battery switch when the engine is running. Why would you do
this? Well, if you’ve moored, turned the engine and then battery off, you may decide that you
want the fridge or the radio back on. So, to ensure that you don’t accidentally flatten all the
batteries, you might smugly turn the battery to the ‘1’ or ‘2’ position.
After a while, you decide to depart and so you start the engine and you’ll motor away. At this
point, you remember that you’re running on 1 battery. Don’t switch back to ‘All’ yet! The
other batteries can’t come to any harm and switching across while under full load may
damage the charging circuitry
4. To unmoor when the wind is blowing you back to shore. Manhandle Nimue so that
the stern is pointing into wind, push off and reverse right across the river before turning back.
Caution: Do not attempt to go out forwards - always reverse out!
